I have worked in the public arena for many years. My careers have always been GIVING careers. Always concerned about the customer or the patient or the client or the employer. And having faced this issue concerning talking about me, all of a sudden I will put back and go silent.
At last, I have learned why I shy from self-promotion. I am uncomfortable with being the center of attention. I have come to realize that my careers have always been an extension of someone else or something else, always giving which takes away from the individual. And when you are in a chronic state of giving you as an individual do not exist.
Now that I have the answer to my shyness I can talk about me all day. NO WAY, folks!
I will talk about why I am bringing hobbies to you. Hobbies are a pleasurable outlet for everyone. However, you will discover as I have that many hobbies become businesses; if you are so inclined. And when you consider the financial climate of today, you are probably talented in a gold mine. You have yet to discover that your interests and passions can be your employment or business.
Every hobby to date that I have listed will make an income for you. I will continue to bring different hobbies that can be converted to employment or a business.

It is time to get creative with what you have on hand. Take whatever hobby you have and get to work creating a new look. These times may be financially tough or mentally worrisome; however, this is not the time to give power to excuses or negative thinking.

If you are like me, you may have one or more hobby items which were started years ago and these projects were never completed. There is always a reason why we stop doing. However, pull up the boot straps, and get to work finishing these projects. This is now the time to clean up, repair, or finish. Invent:If you have unfinished items for an invention or two, clean it up by reinventing, recycling, or completing its construction. The invention may be worthwhile to an investor or two and an immediate profit may be waiting.
Market ideas:
Are you an idea person? Gather your ideas for new products or new services and decide which can be marketed to other companies.
Experiment:
If this year finds you unemployed or retired then use this time for constructive creativity. Put action to the experiments which you have set aside or thought about. Make those creative thoughts come alive and productive.
Recycle:
When times become tough they say to use what is on hand, recycle the article for another purpose, and when it is worn out, do without. I have often heard that the financial market changes every 10 years. Nothing lasts forever.
Birthing and nurturing:
During these off years much birthing and nurturing for new products, discoveries, inventions, philosophies, and much more will be investigated and exposed. The change of a hobby for artists opens new and exciting doorways to wonders. When the good times return prosperity will be at your door step.
Keep active:
Keeping our minds and our bodies occupied with activities or action which uses our talents is vital for our lifestyles. Keeping our creativity active is our lifeline to maintain self sanity and readiness to face our daily lives. The most important “thing” which will emerge from this activity is a new positive path for a personal or a business opportunity. And it was all because of a hobby.
