What is the speed of a golf ball in flight?

Beginners 90 to 100 miles per hour
Intermediate 100 to 110 miles per hour
Advanced and professionals 110 plus miles per hour

What Is The Best Price To Pay For Golfballs?

Price of golf balls equals performance levels.

$12 per dozen is great for beginners and novices.

$30 a dozen are preferred by intermediate level

$45 dollars or more for a dozen is for the advanced or professionals.

These are average prices, shop for the best price you can get.

Types of Golf Balls To Better Your Game

Most golfers play with a two piece design. It has a rubber core center and one outer wrap of plastic or rubber. This design is excellent for men, women, and children. The ball will shoot straighter, and it has less spin so when you hit a slice or a hook it does not look too bad. The ball is designed for durability and distance.

As an advanced golfer you would probably prefer a ball that has been wrapped three times or a hybrid design. This ball has a rubber core, covered by a layer of plastic or rubber and then a third layer wrap. It is hard in consistency and will allow for better performance. It will travel longer distances, and has less spin in the hands of golfer with good control.

The professionals play with design having been wrapped three or possibly four times to get the high swing speed and the drop and stop action.

In case you should ask, if the beginner, intermediate, or an advanced player chooses to play with a golf ball used by professional golfers you will get the distance, however, if you lack control the golf ball will slice and hook badly or extremely.

Toxic Dog Foods

Dear dog lovers.  Here is a list of foods which are harmful to dogs and should never be given as a snack or mixed with their regular foods.

I find it hard to remember everything and a list can be a real saver.

  • Alcohol
  • Chocolates
  • Caffeine
  • Macadamia nuts
  • Grapes
  • Raisins
  • Salt, sugar, artificial sugars
  • Flour
  • Yeast
  • Corn on the cob
  • Onions and garlic
  • Mushrooms
  • Nutmeg
  • Avocados
  • Dairy products

It needs repeating that chocolate is toxic to dogs because it contains a chemical called Theo bromine.

Last year in my vet's office there was a special poster available in the waiting room for the public to read.

There is a new garden mulch product which contains Theo bromine. The mulch product supposedly retards cats from entering your garden and dogs are said not to eat it. It has been discovered dogs are dying from this mulch. The poster indicated that death can occur within a few hours or about eighteen hours after ingestion.

I thought I should make it public just in case this product is still available.

I do write many articles about pets and if you wish visit Ezines.com and review some of my other articles.

Is Your Pet Malnourished?

Most of us realize that a dog cannot be sustained on any one single food source; variety is essential. A malnourished dog will usually show its ribs, have diarrhea, hair loss and it looks like it is starving. When we happen on this situation it is usually an animal which has been abused, lost or stolen and is desperately seeking food.

With these types of symptoms the vet will probably find fleas, ticks, and a disease depending on the length of time and stress that the animal has tried to survive.

However, when we see our personal pet having poor nutritional problems we get very concerned. After all we are feeding and caring for our pet. Malnutrition is caused from lack of proper nutrition from our food sources. You may want to consider looking at another feeding philosophy in order to have your dog live a healthier and satisfying life.

Your dog may not be doing well on commercial dog food. Has your vet recommended another type of food? And why is your vet recommending another food? There are reports that many of the commercial dog foods may not be a product that is healthy for your dog.

For some dogs dry food may be like eating a sugared cereal. It may taste good, but in the long run it is not a good nutritional food source. Read labels on the packaging.

Some dog foods contain mostly grain with some vitamins and minerals and sprayed with fats and meat flavoring. The dog is attracted to the odor and taste but is not receiving essential nutrients.

Would you prefer eating a slice of steak or a slice of bread coated with fat and artificial steak seasoning?

My dog was experiencing hair loss and two different types of skin problems, and ear infections. I had to do something. I looked at two different philosophies - raw meat and home cooked meals. Today I do both and the health of my dog is very good. This year he will be having his 14th birthday in August.

It has been about five years since I changed his nutrition and it has been worth it.

Allergies and Malnutrition - Are you aware?

oAre you aware most dry commercial foods have a shelf life of 12 to 18 months? Oils turn rancid. Fresh foods spoil much quicker. Sometimes your pet can let you know by not eating its food because of taste or something else.

My dog is allergic to rice bran. Brown rice may be excellent, but the allergy symptoms remain. Be alert and become a detective to analyze if a food ingredient, chemical or preservative is not tolerated by your pet.

Is your dog malnourished? Does it seem that each time he enters into a new cycle or becomes a year of two older his food and nutritional needs seem to change? It may be correct to note your dog is experiencing unbalanced nutrition.

Most of us realize that a dog cannot be sustained on any one single food source; variety is essential. A malnourished dog will usually show its ribs, have diarrhea, hair loss and it looks like it is starving. When we happen on this situation we do something about it. This is usually an animal which has been abused, lost or stolen and is desperately seeking food.

There are pet owners who lend confidence to pet foods approved by the Association of American Feed Control Officials (‘AAFC’) as this organization approves of products meeting minimum basic needs and containing complete and balanced nutrition.

In the home you control food preparation. We have all heard the expression we are what we eat and we can see our pet experiencing the results of those eating habits. People are very concerned and are looking for alternatives for healthy pet food.

This is an alternative plan for healthy pet food and learning how to select appropriate foods for your four legged friend. Click here for more information.

In case you are curious I feed my dog both raw and home cooked foods. I feel that this gives him a healthy balance. This August he will be 14 years old. I think we are doing pretty good to take care of his allergies and at worse to avoid malnutrition.

A Note From Tricia Deed

Hobbies are the life blood of every human being. The hobby which we have an interest in will fill our recreation and leisure hours with much pleasure.

Our hobbies will hold our attention and our energy. Not only do we enjoy and have a great deal of fun with our hobbies for recreation and leisure, but we are also able to determine if our interest in arts and crafts e.g. painting, making jewelry, and quilting, sports (golf is extremely popular), pets with their pet care including nutrition and supplements, and much more may enable us to earn a living for our gifted talents.

Many hobbies become our careers.

Our gifted talents will open doors to different business opportunities or to working at home in a home based business. We can choose to use our arts and crafts working for others or becoming a business owner.

It is safe to say that our hobby defines us.

Tricia Deed, through the web pages of Infotrish is bringing those hobbies which so often become business opportunities. These hobbies can be used by children, men, and women.

Wow! You read this. I would like to hear about your hobby interests.

Do you like painting portraits?

Painting portraits is a new hobby for me at this time. It started with my mother needing therapy and here we are a few months later drawing and painting portraits with some excellent skills.

We do not paint like the great masters, but we are having a great time. We both feel that by the Spring of this year we will have enough paintings to enter an arts and crafts show in our community and start selling our inventory.

It was never intended that we would make this a part time business, but we do love doing it.

That is how most hobbies turn out. We discover talents that we never knew we had and lo and behold it becomes a passion.

That is why I designed a hobby webpage which introduces hobbies which can remain as hobbies or can become businesses.

Quilting is Fun

Quilting is fun.

It can be a loner activity, if you wish, but most people like to get together as a group and work on a quilt. Now, that can be a weekly or monthly social life.

Each meeting is filled with happy people sewing, talking, laughing, exchanging quilting ideas and sewing methods, sharing a bit of gossip, and later having a cup of coffee and a slice of home baked cake which welcomes an exchange of dessert recipes. Is that fun or what?

Do you have a quilting story to tell or would like to share quilting ideas or comments.

I would like to hear from you.

Are You Ready to Sell Your Quilts?

Are you doubting yourself or are uncertain if you are good enough to start a quilting business?

This list should convince you to get started:

  1. Your sewing skills are excellent.
  2. Your quilting designs are desirable.
  3. People outside of your family members have made positive comments about your quilts.
  4. You have had many offers to purchase your completed quilts.
  5. There are other people who have asked you to make a quilt from their precious bundles of memory fabrics. This is a lot of trust. Those family memories are very precious and cannot be replaced. What a wonderful person you are to others who place their valuable memory assets into your hands. Product quality is important as a satisfied customer will let everybody know how great your quilts are.

It is for these reasons that you are considering sewing quilts to earn money part time. It can be done because you will be setting aside those work hours that will not interfere with family or social gatherings that you enjoy.

Develop Core Strength in Lower Abdominals

Golfers...here is a simple exercise to help develop core strength in your lower abdominals.

Doing this exercise will correct spinal alignment and give power to your drive.

  1. Lie flat on your back on an exercise mat
  2. Raise both legs upward
  3. Extend your right arm above your head while extending your left leg forward to full extension
  4. Return your right arm and left leg into starting piosition then extend your left arm above your head while extending your right leg forward to full extension
  5. Alternate this pattern

You will probably move slowly at first because of the needed coordination, but before long it will be mechanical.

You will feel the burn...

Word of advice: Do a few repetions to start. As you build your core strength do more reps.

Quilters of Baby Products

There has been a buzz about fire retardant fabrics among people who quilt. And for those who operate a quilting business there is much concern if they are responsible for a quilt catching fire.

The possiblity of an infant or a young child being burnt in a quilt is usually a a rare incident: however, there are people who are making their quilts from 100% cotton and 100% cotton fill which are labeled and sold as fire retardant or fire repellent materials.

The scare is the polyester batting fill and other synthetics.

The problem with the synthetics is that the cloth will burn into the skin making matters worse for both the victim and the medical staff. Cotton will flame into ash. Yes, it will burn, but it will not stick or cling to the burning area.

As a business you may wish to check with an attorney for other precautions.

Happy 4th of July to Everyone

Freedom for America is why we celebrate the 4th of July. I wish everyone a pleasant day of celebrating this holiday. A day to remember our loved ones who have served our country with their lives or their health.

As we move about the malls, going to the beach, visiting entertainment parks, laying back enjoying a family day at home or at picnic grounds. We need to remember that the red, white, and blue paid dearly allows us to have these wonderful days to enjoy our friends and family, and the many July 4th celebrations.

We conclude our day with gala firework displays from our individual collection of fire works or at outdoor sponsored events.

Our hearts sleep peacefully.

Key Secret For Artists

Professional brushes are a key secret for successful artwork. Your artwork will look very refined and produce finished works of art.

Who would want a canvas with misplaced hair strands, unwanted scratches, uneven paint layers and other defects caused by cheap or improper brushes?

Art critics are able to distinguish one artist from another with their brushstrokes. Your brushstrokes do dictate your style and are your signature in your landscaping, portrait, and other works of art.

I know, why do brushes have to cost so much money?

Well, I'll tell you. As you become more experienced in painting and disgusted with your brushes not gliding paint over the surface as you wish and not creating the effects you wanted, having the correct brush will be worth every dollar you spend on it.

Your own irritated temperment and anger will drive you to the store to purchase decent brushes. If you are lucky you may be able to get quality brushes on a special discounted sale.

I know you hate commercials, however, if you need additonal help with your portrait or landscaping visit

Layering Acrylic Paints

Painting with acrylics is exciting. You can create your landscape and your portrait painting projects using thin to thick coatings to accomplish an exacting texture.

Layering is one of many acrylic painting techniques. It is a brush stroke application which artists may use in painting on their work surface of paper, canvas, fabric, wood, glass, and many other surfaces.

The paint may be thin as water for a transparent appearance. You can layer acrylic paints repeatedly to create the illusion as well as the tactile feel of a rock road or tree bark as you would see and feel in oil painting.

As acrylic paints can be used on different surfaces you would need to purchase the correct type for your projects. Acrylic is a water base and would not keep on articles which you would wash with soap and water.

If painting on glass or metal be sure to read the label for the ingredients which will be necessary for the surface which you are painting on.

You worked too hard to loose your masterpiece.
