Tips For Today

Hobby - If not sure what type of hobby to pursue, visit hobby and crafts stores in your community or search the Internet for ideas. List your interests. Talk to friends and family asking questions about their hobby interests and experiences. Make a decision and join the excitement and fun.

Jewelry Making - If you have not done it yet, learn to make jewelry with online video on demand instructions. The information and demonstrations are right at your fingertips and you are able to reach the professional jewelry instructor for personal guidance.

Jewelry Business - Look around your home or shop. Is it time to improve your work area? Your work area and work surroundings are also critical to your well being to be creative as well as productive. A better organized area improves well being very quickly.

Pets - Can be both a hobby and an occupation. A dog is man's best friend for your personal hobby or you can do pet sitting or pet walking for an income. Or combine with other animal interests such as owning sheep and a sheep dog. Consider shearing sheep for wool thread used in garments.

Pet Food - It cannot be emphasized enough. Read labels on all pet foods. Many times, ailments which your pet has can be easily traced to their foods.

Pet Care - Talk to your vet to truly understand vaccinations. It is not always necessary to have certain vaccinations or their boosters. Your dog or cat may be getting unnecessary or too many vaccinations.

Golf Tip - Be measured for your golf equipment. Your golfing game will improve. The length of the shaft and the type of club face has much to do with your swing. There is better comfort, strength, and ease when your golf equipment fits your body figure.

Golf Strokes - Visit the clubhouse, web page, to locate yardages. Or walk the golf course and take your own measurements. Know the yardages. Also note golf layout, weak spots, and other barriers which you feel may challenge your abilities. Knowing the yardages will let you know the exact distance and strength you need to put behind your stroke.

Mental Golf - Mentally visualize while holding onto your golf club. See, feel, hear, and imagine yourself holding the grip, feel the lift of the shaft, feel the stretch in your shoulder and hip placement. Hear the wind as the golf club swings through the air ending with the crack sound as it hits the ball. See and feel all that is involved all the way to your feet. Act out all you will be doing when you truly have the golf club and standing on the tee to hit the ball. Your thoughts and practice will be reflected inthe real game.

Woodworking - Take a good look at your storage situation, It is the spring season of the year and just as we clean out our closets so we need to clean out the garage, and other containers being used for storage. You may be at crossroads to consider building an appropriate shed or two to better organize your household equpment and tools.

Quilting- Spring is here. Clean out your shelves, draws, closets and storage bins to take inventory of your stash. It will be a treasure hunt to find new things you had forgotten about or quilting projects which were left unfinished.

Quilting Business - This may be the year to consider hiring an associate to help with your busy quilting business. Another set of hands can be a tremendous asset. Review your budget and see if it is possible.

Painting Portraits and Landscapes - Brushes are critical. We are anxious to paint, however, take time to practice with the brushes and study the strokes and designs these bristled tools can make. Make a sample chart to be your memory board for paint strokes.

Weekly Tips

Jewelry Making:

My favorite tip is to  set up a work station. It is very pleasant to have the proper equipment and tools within arms's reach to assemble and complete a jewelry project.

Quilting Construction:

It is very essential to plan. Know exactly what you are going to quilt and have all essential quit cuts, notions, and other essential sewing accessories. Do not be embarrassed or angry at yourself because you are one square short of completing your project.

Golfing:

Borrow from friends, rent from golf courses, and sample different golf clubs and equipment with in-store demonstration products. This will help you to select the best fitting clubs and equipment for your body build and golfing style.

Pet care:

Know the breed of your dog or cat. Provide the necessary shelter for your new pet. Some dogs like being outdoors and some dogs prefer being indoors; likewise for cats.

Hobby:

Make a list of what you like to do. If you do not know what you like to do; make of list of your skills and talents. This will help you to select a hobby.
